Scientific Sessions
These are an evolution from the science sessions of MEARIM I, taking account of new African facilities, MEA contributions and recent developments. Each session will be planned as a "mini-symposium", as follows:

Format
Participants would arrive on the Sunday afternoon and it is then planned to cover the sessions listed above over the following 5 days, with the mid-week (Wednesday) afternoon free for excursions and other activities. In order to maximise "interactivity", there will be morning plenary (including invited) talks and the remainder in parallel sessions.
 
Technical requirements
Talks:
  • Speakers are expected to adhere strictly to time limits.
  • Speakers are to upload their presentations at the technical  desk 15 minutes before the start of each session and test them before the start of the sessions in order to speed up the transitions between talks and avoid delays. Presentations will later be put on the conference webpage.

Posters:

  • The poster boards are 2m (height) by 1m (width) and can accommodate an A0 size poster (1189 mm x 841 mm).
  • Posters can be displayed from 13:00 on Sunday, 10 April  for the duration of the conference, and will be accessible during coffee and lunch breaks. They have to be removed on Friday by 16:30.
